About Me
A personal welcome from the heart of Breathe & Begin
I'm Maria, and for over 25 years I’ve worked with women to help them feel like themselves again—first through hair and wellness, and now through something deeper.
I’ve supported people through life transitions, emotional moments, and quiet reinventions. Over time, I realised that true wellbeing goes far beyond how we look—it's about how we feel, think, and breathe through the chaos of modern life.
Now in my mid-40s, I’m navigating perimenopause and learning how my likely (but undiagnosed) ADHD has shaped so much of how I move through the world. Like many women, I’ve felt overwhelmed, scattered, exhausted from trying to hold everything together.
But I’ve also learned that calm is possible. Clarity is possible. And we can return to ourselves, one small step at a time.
Hi, I’m Maria,
A Holistic Approach, Rooted in Real Life
I created Breathe & Begin as a quiet space for women to reconnect with themselves—gently, honestly, and without pressure to be anything other than who they are.
I offer simple but powerful practices:
Meditation that grounds you when life feels too much
Women’s Circles where you’re heard and held
1:1 Life Coaching that focuses on small, meaningful steps
EFT Tapping for emotional release and nervous system support
Accountability & Soft Structure to help you move forward without overwhelm
This isn’t therapy. This is holistic support for women who are ready to take a breath and begin again.
My Practice
Meditation has been a part of my life for years—I practice daily, and I retreat yearly to go deeper. That rhythm is woven into everything I offer. I believe in the power of slow living, self-compassion, and creating space to listen inward.
I’m currently training as a meditation teacher and EFT practitioner. My long-term vision is to hold safe, nourishing spaces for women with ADHD, anxiety, emotional burnout, or anyone moving through a season of change.
Why “Breathe & Begin”?
Because everything starts with a breath.
Because we don’t need to fix it all—just soften the moment we’re in.
And because starting over doesn’t require perfection—just permission.
If you’re looking for grounded, honest support from someone who gets it, you’re in the right place.
